A wheel-thrown porcelain vessel, altered, inlaid with black underglaze, electric fired with its accompanying original print.
This is unglazed, so the texture and marks from the process are a key feature. I marked the surface of the vessel before destroying it; these are mirrored in the print as it acts like a monoprint. I “destroyed” this vessel with 2 drops, then rolled it across the paper, twisting and compressing the form.
Vessel: 10 cm h x 20 cm w - Ceramic
Original print: 76.5 cm h x 57 cm w - Porcelain clay on paper
Due to the nature of my process, all works are 1 of 1 and cannot be reproduced.
